For Nick Megans, radio isn’t just a career, it’s been a lifelong adventure.

His journey began on LM Radio in Lourenço Marques, Mozambique, where he worked his way from the overnight shift to hosting the popular Get Up and Go breakfast show.

Along the way, he witnessed some remarkable moments in broadcasting history and helped keep LM Radio on air during one of its most challenging periods. Over the decades, Nick’s career has taken him from Radio 5 and Radio Nederland in Holland to Capital Radio 604 and beyond. While he later moved into the business world, radio was never far away and eventually drew him back behind the microphone.

In 2019, Nick took over Eden Radio AM and began what would become a seven year journey to secure an FM frequency for the station. On 1 April 2026, that vision became reality when Eden Radio was officially awarded 104.8 FM.

Today, Nick serves as Eden Radio’s Operations Director and remains as passionate about radio as ever. He believes great broadcasting is about companionship, great music and creating a station that truly belongs to its community. For Nick, Eden Radio is more than a radio station, it’s the culmination of a dream many years in the making.
