Mark Williams has spent much of his life helping build and shape some of Southern Africa’s most recognised broadcasting brands.

His career began in the early days of broadcasting in South Africa and would go on to include leadership roles in television, sport and media, including involvement in the launch of M-Net, the growth of SuperSport and projects spanning South Africa, Kenya and beyond. While broadcasting technology and platforms have changed over the years, one thing has remained constant, a love of great storytelling and great content.

As Station Manager of Eden Radio, Mark combines decades of industry experience with a passion for local broadcasting and community connection. On air, listeners can join him every Sunday for Now That’s Country, celebrating the songs and stories that have made country music one of the world’s most enduring genres. He also hosts People of Note, a programme dedicated to fascinating conversations with remarkable people, sharing the journeys, achievements and life experiences of guests from all walks of life.

Mark believes radio should inform, entertain and connect people and that local radio still has a unique ability to bring communities together in a way few other platforms can.
